Overall Purpose of the Job
To deputise for the setting manager. To provide a high standard of care and education to children in line with the Ethos, Core values, policies and procedures for Bright Kids. To provide a clean and well‑maintained environment conducive with the Curiosity Approach and health and safety standards. To work as part of a team to support the smooth running of the setting as a whole. Have areas of responsibility within the setting as part of the management team.
Main Responsibilities
* Overall management responsibility for the setting in the absence of the manager.
* Assist the Manager in providing effective day‑to‑day management of the setting.
* Assist the Manager in collection, accounting and banking of monies.
* Assist the Manager in setting and implementing objectives and policies for the setting within the overall established framework and ethos of the company.
* To be responsible for supervising some health and safety routines.
* To assist the Manager and all staff in promoting Equal Opportunities throughout the Nursery.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a person who is qualified to at least a level 3 in childcare. At least two years post qualification experience, with at least one year’s supervisory experience within a Nursery setting. A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the running of a Nursery must be shown. The ability to use computerised systems would be an advantage. Previous management experience would be advantageous.

Location: Bell Green, Coventry.
Salary: Up to £28,700 per annum, permanent.
Subsidised Childcare
* The subsidised childcare offers 50% off childcare fees for fee‑paying staff members until funded hours are provided. At this point the discount becomes 25% off any remaining nursery fees after the funded hours are deducted. First month nursery fees are free of charge (please note if a successful probationary period is not completed, this monthly fee will be owed to the nursery).
