Based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, our international services client seeks a proactive individual to join them as a Finance Assistant, on a permanent basis. This role is fully office based.
This job would suit a finance professional with experience across both accounts payable and receivable, ideally with multi-currency or international finance exposure. Fluency in both English and Spanish would be a distinct advantage.
With an expanding customer base in the UK, Europe and Central America, the company continues to invest in its finance team to support its ongoing growth and global operations.
The successful individual will have experience working within finance or accounting roles, ideally supported by a finance-related degree or AAT Level 3 qualification (or higher). Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts Professional (or similar Sage software) are essential. Manage debt collection in the UK and Europe
Keep accurate records of Accounts Receivable and Debtors Ledger, including Central America
process and track invoices from suppliers and subcontractors
Reconcile staff expenses and credit card statements; Oversee daily cash receipts, reconcile customer accounts, and resolve payment discrepancies
Maintain accurate Accounts Payable ledgers
Administer client contracts and monthly billing across various international regions
Post journals and contribute to the monthly financial close
Produce ad hoc financial reports and conduct related analysis
Assist in statutory and group year-end processes with the Head of Finance
Carry out ad hoc finance tasks as required by senior leadership and the CEO
