About the service
Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust spans Pinderfields, Pontefract and Dewsbury hospitals. Haematology and Transfusion laboratories operate at Pinderfields and Dewsbury, with a remote analyser at Pontefract. You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, learning and patient-centred practice.
Responsibilities
* Perform a wide range of routine and specialist tests to HCPC standards.
* Assess samples, interpret and authorise results, and act on anomalies.
* Maintain quality and safety through strict QC checks, troubleshooting and equipment care.
* Work independently during core and out-of-hours shifts to ensure timely patient care.
* Train and support colleagues, students and ward staff carrying out testing.
* Contribute to service improvement by assisting with new methods, equipment evaluation and stock control.
* Combine precision, problem-solving and teamwork to deliver accurate results that make a real difference to patient care.
