Deputy Education Manager - Prison Education

Academics is currently recruiting a passionate and driven Deputy Education Manager to support the delivery of high-quality education within a prison setting.
Working closely with the Education Manager, you will play a key role in the effective day-to-day management of the education department, ensuring the smooth running of operations, supporting staff performance, and helping learners achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Education Manager with the daily operational management of the department
* Assist with staff deployment, timetabling, and resource management
* Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment are maintained
* Support curriculum delivery to meet the needs of learners, the prison environment, and organisational objectives
* Monitor learner progress, achievement, and attendance
* Provide leadership, guidance, and support to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience within education leadership or management
* A recognised teaching qualification
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* The ability to motivate and support teams effectively
* Experience of quality assurance and learner achievement monitoring
* A proactive and solution-focused approach
* A passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential
Experience within prison education or alternative learning environments would be advantageous, although not essential.
