Qualifications
* Registered nurse (RGN) or diploma in nursing studies
* Certificate in the care & treatment of patients with chronic disease
* Diplomas or equivalent qualification in one or more of the following; diabetes, respiratory medicine, coronary heart disease
* Cervical smear and breast awareness course
* Sexual health training
* V150 Non-medical prescriber
Knowledge
* Modernisation Agenda
* Evidence based practice
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Use of Clinical System - Systm1/Adastra/Odyssey/Emis/Vision
* Foreign travel health advice
* GMS2 Contract or APMS contract
* Sexual health, family planning and contraception advice
* Health promotion
Experience
* Demonstrate competency in a wide range of skills including phlebotomy, wound care, health promotion
* Caseload management skills including planning, treatment and influencing
* Clinical supervision
