We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Start-up, to lead and support our Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials for our clients with maximum speed and efficiency.
This is a full-time, remote home-based job in the UK.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Team Leadership

* Empower the team to advance along the Start-up career path and develop professionally.
* Foster confidence in team members, so they feel comfortable engaging with Project Managers and client stakeholders at different levels.
For that purpose, you will own:
The full cycle of performance management: from goal setting, regular 1:1s, mentoring, year-end appraisals, to merit increase. Training design and delivery, to prepare the team for evolving challenges in more complex, large-scale studies.
Excellence in Project Delivery
You will ensure that Start-up project deliverables are achieved within agreed timelines, meeting sponsor expectations and complying with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Success hinges on your ability to assign the right team members to projects, based on experience and availability, typically within 24 hours for Early Clinical studies.
Continuous Quality and Efficiency Improvement:
As we continue our journey of transformation, you will be tasked with defining, promoting and managing quality and performance metrics for Start-up. Leading new initiatives to enhance efficiency, incorporating client feedback to refine our processes and reduce response times, will be central to your role.
YOU NEED TO BRING...
Substantial experience in global Study Start-up procedures and processes (EMEA, US, APAC), including a minimum 3 years in Project or Operations management within Study Start-up (ph I to IV) gained at a CRO, pharmaceutical or biotech environment. This expertise is essential, after all, your day to day will be about:
* Guiding, mentoring and developing a team of experts to excel even more.
* Contributing to Fortrea´s strategy for addressing emerging challenges in Early Phase Start-up.
Experience in performance management and team goal achievement is also crucial. But if you prefer comfort, clear infrastructure and processes around you, then this opportunity might not be the best fit. We need an individual who enjoys line management, particularly building teams from scratch, devising and implementing new processes, innovating training methods or enhancing collaboration between teams.
Fortrea is actively seeking motivated problem-solvers and creative thinkers who share our passion for overcoming barriers in clinical trials. Our unwavering commitment is to revolutionize the development process, ensuring the swift delivery of life-changing ideas and therapies to patients in need. Join our exceptional team and embrace a collaborative workspace where personal growth is nurtured, enabling you to make a meaningful global impact.
