Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our residential property maintenance team. The Handyman will be responsible for performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and renovation tasks to ensure that all residential units and common areas are kept in excellent condition. This role is essential to maintaining tenant satisfaction, property value, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs across residential units and common areas (e.g., hallways, lobbies, laundry rooms).
* Address tenant repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Carry out minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting work.
* Inspect and troubleshoot appliances, fixtures, and systems to identify issues.
* Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce future repair needs.
* Replace light fixtures, door hardware, flooring tiles, or drywall as needed.
* Assist with apartment turnover including patching, painting, minor renovations, and deep cleaning.
* Maintain exterior property areas, including basic landscaping, snow removal, and pressure washing.
* Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and health standards.
* Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
* Report larger maintenance issues or hazards to the Property Manager.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
* Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Good physical condition and ability to lift/move heavy objects when required.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with residents and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in multifamily residential or rental properties.
* Certification or training in trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is a plus.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
