GARDENER / WOKING / UP TO £27,000 PER ANNUM
Woking Crematorium is seeking a Gardener to join our dedicated team. This is more than just a gardening job; it's an opportunity to provide a beautiful and peaceful environment for grieving families.
About the Gardener Role:
As a Gardener, you'll be responsible for the year-round maintenance and upkeep of our grounds. You'll use your skills to ensure the gardens are immaculate, promoting a tranquil and professional atmosphere at all times. This is a hands-on role that requires initiative and a caring approach.
Key Responsibilities of the Gardener:
Perform a variety of gardening duties, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, and weeding.
Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of memorial areas, ensuring they are always clean and presentable.
Work collaboratively with our team to maintain the crematorium's peaceful environment.
Maintain and clean gardening equipment and machinery.
Help with the construction and maintenance of memorials.
Keep all public areas, including car parks and entrances, clean and tidy.
About You:
You are a compassionate and physically capable individual with a passion for gardening. You're comfortable with a physically demanding job that involves lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
You have experience using a range of horticultural machinery like ride-on and hand lawnmowers and hedge trimmers.
You possess a solid knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
You are a reliable team player who is willing to support your colleagues.
You are flexible with your working hours to meet the needs of the business.

What We Offer:
A permanent, full-time position with a salary of up to £27,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
Working hours of 39 per week, with potential shifts between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
We'll provide and pay for your FBCA Cremator Technician training and assessment, which is a requirement for this role.
Please note that there will be an initial three-week training period for this role that will take place at our Golders Green site. All travel fees or accommodation will be covered and arranged as necessary.
