Job overview

Part time hours available equivalent of up to 30.00 hours

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated, qualified GDC registered Dental Nurses, with previous chairside experience to work within our busy Orthodontic, Outpatient Department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a progressive and developing environment. We are ideally looking for an individual who would be flexible, you will be based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle but may be required at times to work at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven if there is absence within the team.

Qualifications

* NVQ3 / national examination for dental nurses or equivalent.
* Current GDC registration.
* Certificate in orthodontic nursing or equivalent
* Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent
* Relevant development to diploma equivalent


Knowledge and Experience

* Continuing professional development with portfolio
* Specialised orthodontic nursing and treatment
* Equality issues


Skills and Aptitudes

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Good organisational skills
* IT Skills
* Ability to demonstrate the compassionate values and behaviours needed for dignified care
* First level life support and knowledge of dental/medical emergencies
