About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Solar PV Surveyor to carry out site surveys for domestic and commercial Solar PV installations.
Job Opportunity
You will be responsible for completing accurate on-site surveys to support system design, compliance, and installation planning. This is a freelance, self-employed role with regular work available within Dorset/Somerset/Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.
Key responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site Solar PV surveys (roof and electrical)
* Assess roof condition, orientation, shading and access
* Collect accurate measurements, photos and technical data
* Produce clear survey reports for design and install teams
* Liaise with customer on site, discussing requirements and feasibility
Essential Skills
* Previous experience surveying Solar PV Installations
* Strong understanding of Solar & battery systems
* Knowledge of MCS standards and relevant regulations
* Ability to identify electrical and structural constraints
* Own transport and survey equipment
* Reliable, detail-orientated and customer focused
