Role Summary
The main responsibilities will be to support internal teams, take ownership of project administration and act as main support to Head of Technical Operations. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our development and operational teams, fostering seamless collaboration and ensuring efficient software delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in developing their existing IT skills within a team actively leveraging industry leading technology.
This role will be a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week at the Chippenham Head Quarters and adhoc to travel to Warminster and Bristol sites.
Duties and Responsibilities (Include but not limited to)
* Coordinating and managing IT projects across the business, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with effective change management.
* Supporting with building, testing and delivery of projects including implementation, issue diagnosis and fixes and upgrades. Researching and evaluating new technologies and solutions to improve IT systems and operations.
* Developing skills to a point of owning projects involving IT Infrastructure and AI technology utilising Agile and Waterfall methodologies
* Supporting to manage queries from the IT helpdesk, escalating queries relating to projects and working alongside Head of Technical Operations to resolve.
* Help drive efficiency within the tech stack where possible – deliver suggestions and help role out projects where applicable.
* Contributing to the Project Coordination of the ERP migration project from Brightpearl to Microsoft Business Central
* Help develop and improve detailed process and procedure documentation to support IT operations proactively making recommendations to improve processes
* Produce reporting on project deliverables
* Supporting internal teams with projects surrounding key systems, including Brightpearl ERP, Peoplevox WMS and various REST API based applications
* Assisting our Data Analyst to build and use Power BI reporting and dashboards to drive data lead decisions within the business.
What do we need from you?
Requirements:
* The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an IT operations position or similar role within e-commerce or retail industry and who is enthusiastic about technology.
* A proactive, hands-on IT professional with a delivery focused approach
* Strong knowledge of supply chain and retail operations is desired
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, a strong can-do mentality and strategic mind-set, good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels.
* Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and liaise with developers.
* Strong MS Office skills across PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
* Understanding of Microsoft Planner, Loop & Projects

* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team to meet deadlines.
