An Ofsted-rated Outstanding mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive and well-resourced setting that places a strong emphasis on early years development and high-quality teaching and learning.
The Role:
* Lead a Reception class, delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to meet the needs of all pupils
* Support children’s development across all areas of learning, including communication, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, and numeracy
* Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence
* Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, maintaining accurate records in line with school expectations
* Work closely with support staff, parents, and the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching within Early Years or Key Stage 1 (Reception experience is highly desirable)
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
* Be creative, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood education
* Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Be committed to maintaining the high standards expected within an Outstanding school
* Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
