We have vacancies for the role of Youth Engagement Officer (YEO) with vacancies available or projected across all 3 Divisions in Guildford, Waverley, Reigate and Banstead and Spelthorne. Key Responsibilities
Undertake long-term problem-solving working with partners making use of a variety of powers and initiatives to improve outcomes and opportunities for children and young people in our communities. Practically safeguard young people in our communities including key areas such as CSE and County Lines. Develop engagement opportunities with young people and cadet leadership. Ensure activity is targeted to where there is the greater level of need. To be involved in the development of partnership intervention work with children and young people to divert and prevent any future criminality. Work effectively with partner and statutory agencies who deliver services to young people to support issues and problems in the local area. Resilience in dealing with challenging, long-term problem solving.
Skills & Experience
Applicants will be passionate about local neighbourhood policing, self-motivated and recognise the importance of effective problem solving, proactively safeguarding, and making a difference for the children and young people within their communities.
