This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, hands-on manager to take a key leadership role in shaping the companys future. The Role As General Manager / Store Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring smooth running of the branch while driving growth and operational improvements. Youll lead a small, dedicated team of five, foster strong customer and supplier relationships, and play a central role in expanding the companys presence and profitability. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring the branch runs efficiently and profitably Lead, motivate, and manage the existing team of five staff members Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers Identify opportunities to grow sales and expand the customer base Ensure excellent levels of customer service and operational standards Manage stock levels, purchasing, and pricing strategies Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements Take a hands-on approach to sales, customer service, and store presentation Contribute to the companys modernisation and digital development goals Report directly to company directors on performance, sales, and targets About You Proven management experience in electrical wholesale, trade counter, or retail management Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a small team Commercially minded, with a focus on sales growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Proactive and adaptable, with a desire to modernise and grow the business Strong stock management, ordering, and margin control experience Confident using modern systems and open to introducing new tools and processes Whats on Offer Competitive salary of £40,000 £50,000, depending on experience Annual performance-based bonus (to be introduced) Opportunity to play a key role in the businesss next phase of growth Supportive, family-run environment with autonomy and trust Day shift hours with no late nights Please apply with a CV, contact Mark Skills: Store Manager Trade Counter Manager General Manager
