Job Description Production Leader Reports to: Operations Director Term of Employment: Permanent – full-time Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum Hours: Monday-Friday, 07:30-16:30 (40-hour week) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Production Leader to oversee our engineering and paint spraying functions. This position combines hands-on project delivery with team management. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in engineering (electrical or mechanical), construction, or manufacturing and are ready to progress in their career. Key Responsibilities: Carefully disassemble mechanical parts, ensuring integrity. Document detailed catalogues for accurate reassembly. Collaborate with polishing and painting departments to prepare components. Accurately reassemble mechanical parts post-exhibition. Ensure work meets high-quality standards. Work closely with fabricators and engineers to design stands and crates. Manage projects according to established processes. Lead and support teams to maintain quality and productivity. Track progress for reporting purposes. Coordinate resources, transport, freight, and shipping. Manage supplier relationships, procurement, and supplier performance. Deliver daily activity briefings and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Manage plant and equipment maintenance. Regularly report on project progress. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Proven leadership ability with proactive project and people management skills. Strong communicator, clear and consistent. Ability to balance adherence to processes with innovative problem-solving. Advocate for company values, maintaining professionalism onsite and offsite. Preferred Qualifications: Technical qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering or construction. Leadership qualification or equivalent experience. Learning & development qualifications beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft applications or similar. Continued professional development and project management experience advantageous.
