Hours: Full-time (term time only)
Salary: £90–£110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a thriving secondary school in Preston for a short-term assignment from 3rd November to 19th December 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive school environment, working closely with teaching staff to enhance student learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons and supervise classes in the absence of a teacher.
* Support students with their learning across a range of subjects, with a focus on Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Assist in the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities under teacher guidance.
* Provide targeted interventions for individuals and small groups, including those with SEND.
* Contribute to the wider school community and uphold school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a UK secondary school setting.
* Confident delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive, flexible approach and ability to work independently.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
