Accounts Assistant

Location: Southport/Hybrid

Salary - £25,000 per annum.

Fletchers Group have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Team.

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join our busy Finance (Accounts) Team in Southport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical ability and good Microsoft Excel skills who enjoys working accurately in a fast-paced, professional environment.

As an integral member of the Accounts Team, you will support a wide range of financial administration tasks including processing payments, balancing ledgers, analysing aged debt and responding to internal queries. The role requires excellent attention to detail, confidence working with figures and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business.

Main Responsibilities:

* Processing incoming cheques
* Processing client and disbursement payments
* Clearing client Balances
* Aged debt analysis and credit control
* Balancing ledgers at final billing stage
* Updating spreadsheets
* Dealing with fee earner queries
* Closing client files
* Complying with Solicitors Regulatory Authority Rules
* Other accounts admin jobs as required

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Attention to Detail
* Good mathematical skills
* Basic Excel/Microsoft skills
* Ability to communicate effectively

Desirable Skills and Experience:

* Working with a case management system
