Research and External Engagement (REE) is a new integrated service dedicated to driving forward the Universitys ambitions for, research, innovation, skills and enterprise.? This professional service works to support our students, drive research excellence, upskill and reskill the regions workforce, strengthen relationships and engagement with our alumni, business and community partners.
Through cutting-edge research initiatives, hands-on learning opportunities, strategic partnerships, civic leadership, and skills delivery, we will empower individuals to thrive in an ever-changing world.
We are looking for a part time Student and Graduate Talent Administrator to join our busy Student and Graduate Talent Team. Youll support our employer partners and internship students, administer the UWE Internship Scheme, organise employability events and other work based learning opportunities.
As well as being the first point of contact for employer partners, youll get to provide guidance to academics, and other professional services staff, so great communication skills and relationship building skills will really help you excel within this role. As you may work across a variety of teams within the service, youll be a team player with a focus on collaborating to solve issues. Youll have excellent organisation and administration skills, including, but not limited to the ability to produce reports, respond to emails, book appointments, keep internal records accurate and up to date and support with the production of online resources for students. All these skills mean that your attention to detail needs to be outstanding.
About you
To succeed in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following essential experience:
Broad administrative based experience in a complex and busy office environment.
Excellent IT skills, with strong experience of MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel and data base systems
Working across different teams to share information and best practice to achieve tasks.
Have strong co-ordination, organisation and prioritisation skills.
Experience of communicating with a variety of internal staff members and external clients using different methods (E.g. phone, email and face to face)
Experience of working with confidential information and able to work sensitively when dealing with issues.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

Interviews are scheduled to take place at our Frenchay Campus week commencing 14th July.
Shortlisting is expected to be completed within 2 weeks of the closing date depending on application volumes. We aim to give candidates at least a week's notice to attend interview.
This is a part-time, permanent post working 22.2 hours per week. The working hours will be either:
22.2 hours split evenly over 3 days - Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, or;
22.2 hours split evenly over 4 days Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and either Monday or Thursday.
This post is not available on a job share basis

This role is therefore campus based for at least 60% of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days
