81706 - Logistics/Stock Supervisor
This Logistics/Stock Supervisor will report to the Jointing Manager and work within UKPN Services based in our Heathrow office, with occasional assistance required at other UKPN Services locations. The role is a permanent position.
Salary: £46,400 plus a van and a 3% bonus, based on site.

Job Purpose
You will be responsible to the Project team for delivering plant and materials on time, as required by your projects. This includes daily liaison with the project teams and planners to ensure plant is ordered, recorded, and stored ready for delivery following the project programme. You will arrange delivery, ensuring all permits, RAMs, and lifting plans are in place, security passes obtained, and the right equipment delivered to the right site at the right time.
Principal Accountabilities
* Manage and refine all processes involving materials and inventory for projects.
* Identify and implement process improvements.
* Support the Project Lead/Manager on the accurate delivery of plants to align inventory with current and forecasted demand.
* Record, inspect, and asset plant items delivered, including storage location records.
* Implement a computerised administration process for equipment with record‑management.
* Assist engineers in inspection of received equipment ensuring quality and standards are met.
* Organise all site permits for plant delivery (CMO, Crane, Airside).
* Contribute to the management of the in‑house database and reporting development.
* Raise PO’s and process goods receipt on SAP for payment purposes.
* Oversee secure storage of plant and equipment, ensuring correct LOLER technique and safe working practice.
* Be an ambassador for UK Power Networks and deliver excellent customer service.
* Be prepared to undertake other reasonable responsibilities as required by the Company.
* Monitor material stock to ensure availability.
* Ensure current inventory aligns with project demand.
* Receive goods and store securely.
* Ensure quality of work meets current policies.
* Perform risk assessments and maintain safe working practices.
Nature and Scope
* Ensure important materials for project delivery are in place, including transport of materials and plant to sites.
* Report to the Jointing Manager and work primarily within the Heathrow area, with potential wider UK duty for other projects.
* Achieve delivery of work in a safe, efficient, and cost‑effective way, ensuring value for money and compliance with current legislation.
Qualifications
Safety‑based qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH is desirable.
Experience Requirements
* Experience working to LOLER.
* Experience in lifting planning.
* Qualified or working towards Lift Supervisor (or) Managerial qualification.
* Full clean UK Driving Licence.
* Emergency First Aid certification.
* Degree level or equivalent experience in engineering (e.g., City & Guilds 2239, science, or numerical subject).
* MS Excel skills for production/editing of spreadsheets.
* Experience with CDM regulations and ISO9001 quality process.
* Knowledge of SAP.
* Familiarity with UKPN stores ordering.
* SSSTS Supervisors Card.
* Familiarity with items of electrical network equipment.
* A safety qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely is desirable.

* HGV licence.
