Overview
NPC Ponteland is seeking a Salaried GP for up to 5 sessions per week to join our supportive, well-established team. We serve around 11,000 patients across our main site in Ponteland and our branch site in Dinnington. We pride ourselves on a culture of teamwork, wellbeing, and a healthy work-life balance. As a teaching practice, we support GP registrars, medical and nursing students, and invest in the development of our own team. Responsibilities
* Provide general medical services for the needs of the practice population and help ensure the Practice provides high standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
* Work as a member of the multidisciplinary Practice team and manage a busy caseload with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
* Contribute to the operational and strategic management of the practices within Northumbria Primary Care.
* Agree a job plan with the post holder to provide general medical services and address a wide range of health needs.
* Support education and training activities for GP registrars, medical and nursing students; participate in education sessions and opportunities for developing specialist interests.
* Be involved in the wider NPC culture and use of new technologies to improve patient services where appropriate.
Qualifications & Requirements
* General Practitioners must be appropriately qualified and registered to practice in the UK; willingness to participate in education and development within a forward-thinking environment.
* Applicants may be assessed under the Trust’s interview guarantee scheme if applicable; Fit and Proper Person Requirements (FPPR) pre-employment checks in line with CQC and NHS England guidance.
* UK Sponsor/visa information applies if sponsorship is required; ensure eligibility before applying.
* DBS checks may be required; any DBS disclosure costs may be deducted from salary where applicable.
