Job Title: Regional Deputy Manager Location: Sleaford Salary: £36,000 35p per mile car allowance 10% bonus Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Regional Deputy Manager to join our team in Sleaford. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing regional operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources, and supporting the Regional Manager in achieving business objectives. Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Regional Deputy • Prepare and submit a monthly compliance report for each of our care homes. • Training and Development: Support the professional development of Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Senior Carers. • Complaints and Safeguarding: Ensure all complaints and safeguarding concerns are properly logged, thoroughly investigated, and resolved in a timely manner. • Clinical Monitoring: Oversee and maintain up-to-date logs for pressure sores, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), falls, and weights, ensuring proactive management. • External Inspections: Prepare care homes for external inspections, typically one per month. • Weekend On-Call Duty: Participate in weekend on-call rota, approximately one weekend in three. • Improving Compliance and Care Standards: Work closely with Home Managers to support homes that are underperforming. This may involve staying on-site and being away from home several nights per week. Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience in management or supervisory roles. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant management software. - Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards. Essential Requirements • At least two years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or in a similar role within the elderly care home sector. • At least one year’s experience delivering staff training, such as manual handling (train-the-trainer), fire safety, medication, or care planning. • Possess an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and be willing to study towards NVQ Level 5 and/or 7, or be a registered nurse. • Proficient in computer use, particularly in email, Excel spreadsheets, and Word documents. • Hold a valid driving licence and be comfortable driving 80 miles per day regularly. • Willing and able to stay away from home Monday to Friday when required. • Live within 30 miles or within a 60-minute drive of Sleaford If you are a dynamic and results-driven professional looking to advance your career please call Shona at Purosearch on or email your CV to
