Barts Health NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic and driven Assistant Hospital Logistics Managerto support our growing Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS). This is a key operational leadership role, working closely with the Hospital Logistics Manager and reporting indirectly to the General Manager for NEPTS.
You will play a vital role in ensuring our NEPTS operations are scalable, efficient, and exceed the expectations of patients and stakeholders. With over 200 drivers and operational staff under your leadership, you’ll champion service delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement - supporting the Trust’s values of WeCare.

Main duties of the job
The Assistant Hospital Logistics Manger is required to support the Non-Emergency PatientTransport Service in ensuring that the patient transport operation is scalable, fit for purpose and able to meet patient’s expectations. You will report to the Hospital Logistics Manager and have an indirect reporting line to the General Manager NEPTS. He/She will have the ability to demonstrate a hands-on approach, enabling us to deliver highquality patient transport service, customer service and support exceeding the expectations of our internal and external customers. The post holder will work closely with the Hospital
Logistics manager to consistently drive innovation and continuous improvement will be key to ensuring that our patient transport drivers lead the way in the NEPTS across other London Trust. She/He will lead the NEPTS team in improving the operational systems, processes and policies in support of our Trust Values WeCare - specifically, supporting better management of drivers and other inter related team members, clinicians and our Patients. She/He will be responsible for developing and managing over 200 drivers and operational team. Leading our local relationships with key stakeholders and be paramount in the developing a successful partnerships between the control and driving team.

Qualifications
* Relevant professional qualification and management expertise gained within the field or equivalent.
* Detailed understanding of the NEPTS system - Cleric
Experience
* Recent and relevant experience of working in the NHS in a senior role in transport or similar.
* Experience in the development and implementation of operational processes and systems.
* Experience in using computerized systems as well as PC based facilities such as spread sheets, databases etc.
* Experience of staff change management.
* Managing & Recruitment of staff.
* Significant experience in a senior management position.
* Experience in process mapping.
Communication
* Good presentational skills for conveying complex concepts.
* Ability to use informed persuasion to influence others
Knowledge
