Westminster Academy has a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and dedicated Cover Co-ordinator / Supervisor and Library Assistant to manage the Academy’s daily cover and staffing logistics, and to work under the guidance of teaching staff to deliver cover lessons in the classroom and supervise lessons during the short and long term absence of teachers. Cover work will be supplied for use as a basis for lessons. Primary responsibility will be held to ensure teaching continuity, student safety, and effective communication with all school stakeholders. Whilst based in the Library, the post holder will also undertake supervision for supervised independent learning in line with the Academy’s relevant policies. The role is crucial for maintaining a positive, safe and productive environment during staff absences, often acting as a key link within the Academy’s administrative and teaching teams. Our ideal Cover Co-ordinator / Supervisor and Library Assistant will be a highly organised, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and able to work under pressure to manage last-minute changes. If you are confident in managing classroom behaviour, able to work across different subject areas, and excited to promote reading and library use, we would love to hear from you. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work effectively under pressure. Strong behaviour management.
