We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our forward thinking, friendly and expanding Health & Justice team at HMP Feltham B.
By joining our Prisons Health Care Team, you will not only look after the healthcare needs of our patients residing in secure environments, but who also can have a real impact on promoting health and well-being.
Main Duties
* Use highly specialist knowledge & skills to provide healthcare autonomously to patients within their sphere of practice.
* Accountable for independent clinical assessment, diagnosis & treatment of patients with undiagnosed & undifferentiated conditions.
* Refer patients to relevant specialities for any necessary investigations.
* Practice at an advanced level demonstrating in depth knowledge & competence in aspects which may include acute medicine, community services & mental health.
* Promote clinical excellence in the care of patients that present within their service & provide clinical advice & support to nursing /AHP staff & other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional & independent clinical care which enables the coordination of a multi professional seamless service for patients.
* As a senior member of the Multi-disciplinary team, play a pivotal role in the operational development of the service.
* Initiate, manage & drive change, innovating changes in practice for the benefit of patient care in line with current trust & local programmes.

Person Specification
Essential criteria include MSC or PGdip in Advanced Clinical Practice and current registration with NMC, HPC and or other statutory body.
* Substantial post registration experience.
* Leadership experience at Band 7 or above.
* Proven experience of working as an independent practitioner.
Desirable criteria include relevant Professional health degree and evidence of recent CPD.
