'The Job Itself'
This role is based within the Goole Safeguarding Administration Team who provide a wide range of administrative support to safeguarding social workers, team managers and other relevant professionals primarily within the Goole Strengthening and Supporting Families and the Children's Assessment Teams however support may be provided to the wider services across the East Riding of Yorkshire. We offer the right help at the right time so that families feel supported and the welfare of children is protected.
The post is 19 hours per week on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave (Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays).

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to providing a quality service, have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. To undertake this role successfully you will need to be customer focused, able to work easily within a challenging environment, have excellent administrative and organisational skills and the motivation and desire to achieve a high-quality service. You should be able to demonstrate effective use of a range of ICT systems and software packages.
As well as a high level of customer service, the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information is paramount. Teamwork plays a vital role as does the ability to meet deadlines and work on your own initiative.
This is a great opportunity to have an insight into Children and Young People Support and Safeguarding Services and the invaluable support we provide for families in the East Riding.
