The Sales Graduate role offers a structured graduate programme, designed to develop future commercial leaders within our Power Rental division, offering hands‑on experience across the full sales lifecycle.
The Sales Graduate will gain exposure to customer engagement, rental sales, commercial decision‑making, and operational delivery while supporting revenue growth and building long-term customer relationships. With ongoing training, coaching and increasing responsibility, this role provides a clear development pathway into broader commercial or leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Learn and apply core sales, commercial and customer engagement principles within the power rental market
2. Support the development and management of customer relationships under guidance
3. Assist with handling rental enquiries, preparing quotations, pricing and contract administration
4. Analyse customer data, market trends and sales activity to identify growth opportunities
5. Collaborate with operations, engineering and logistics teams to deliver effective rental solutions
6. Participate in sales meetings, customer visits and account reviews
7. Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline activity using CRM systems
8. Support the achievement of sales targets and pipeline objectives under supervision
9. Actively engage in training, coaching and performance feedback to build sales capability
10. Demonstrate Finning values, with a strong focus on safety, customer service and ethical conduct in all interactions
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
11. A completed undergraduate degree (Level 6 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, such as: Business, Management, Marketing or Sales; Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with a commercial interest; Economics, Finance or a related field
12. Experience gained through internships, placements, part-time work or voluntary roles is desirable, particularly where this demonstrates: Customer interaction or service experience; Understanding of professional workplace standards; Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
13. Strong customer engagement skills, with the ability to build rapport and understand customer needs
14. Good communication and persuasion skills, with confidence in presenting solutions
15. Commercial awareness, balancing customer needs with business objectives
16. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues
