An independent co-educational day school in Godalming, Surrey, catering for 300 students and teachers. The school offers a variety of meals and hospitality services, including morning and afternoon snacks, lunch, and after-school clubs. The location benefits from free on-site parking.
Shift Timings: 06:30 - 15:00
We are seeking a creative and effective Senior Sous Chef to join our team at this prestigious location in Godalming.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare all food service areas for daily meal services.
2. Ensure prompt and standard-compliant service of all meals.
3. Ensure preparation and presentation meet company expectations.
4. Set up, serve, clear, clean, and store food, beverages, and equipment.
5. Prepare food following hygiene and safety standards.
6. Restock stocks and consumables during service.
7. Inform front of house of food shortages and prevent delays.
8. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
9. Serve customers, visitors, and guests according to service standards.
10. Manage waste and recycling properly.
11. Assist with ordering and stock management.
12. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
13. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
14. Attend meetings and training sessions.
15. Report stock movements to the head chef.
General Responsibilities:
1. Attend staff meetings.
2. Adhere to policies and procedures, legislation, and company standards.
3. Wear a neat and clean uniform.
4. Maintain high personal presentation standards.
5. Carry out food temperature checks.
6. Fulfill reasonable management requests.
7. Provide cover during staff absences.
8. Report hazards and ensure health and safety.
