Overview
Due to continued growth & Contract wins, Go-Fix Mechanical & Drainage Services require an estimator to raise estimates, quotes and prepare competitive, accurate bids for plumbing & drainage projects ranging from minor repairs to large‑scale infrastructure projects. This role will include the requirement in managing and preparing quotes across all drainage disciplines, in addition to supporting the general objectives of our busy business.
Responsibilities
* Produce standard day to day quotes for minor repair and remedial works
* Produce remedial costings following review of CCTV surveys
* Monitor changes to project scope & adjust estimates accordingly
* Carry out Tender applications & work alongside operations managers in applying for projects via a tender process
* Work with suppliers to gain cost effective materials, plant and equipment required for proposals
* Producing accurate, competitive & cost‑effective estimates that include labour, materials & equipment required for projects
* Assessment of specifications & working out relevant information & determine project scope
* Overtime is offered but not essential
Salary
£36,000 - £60,000 (Based on Experience)
Requirements
* Ideally come from a drainage & plumbing background, however we will accept applicants from an FM, M&E, engineering or hard services background
* Must be familiar with the process of obtaining costs from suppliers and sub-contractors for accuracy of quoting
* Proficient in administration and raising of competitive quotes
* Knowledge of computer programs used in daily office administration functions such as word processors, spreadsheets and specialised office management tools
* Have a can‑do approach & positive attitude
