Job overview Join Our Dermatology Team as a Patient Pathway Coordinator Are you looking for a rewarding administrative role where no two days are the same? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and well‑established Dermatology administrative team as a Patient Pathway Coordinator. In this role, you’ll work closely with patients, clinicians and colleagues to ensure that every patient receives timely, well‑coordinated care. If you’re calm, empathetic, enjoy speaking with patients and can confidently use your initiative, we would love to hear from you. You’ll use your communication and negotiation skills to help patients access their treatment within our target times, supporting them through what can often be a worrying period. The work is fast‑paced, varied and requires excellent attention to detail—plus a good sense of humour certainly helps! What we’re looking for: A caring, composed and patient‑focused approach Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team Someone who enjoys problem‑solving and thrives in a busy environment This is a part‑time role (30 hours per week). Please note: This is an on‑site role, but one day of remote working may be offered depending on departmental staffing levels. Advert To provide a full and comprehensive administrative service to the Dermatology Service to ensure all patients are booked within national guidelines and in accordance with the Trust’s Patient Access Policy. To act on own initiative with an aptitude for problem solving. To escalate breaches to line manager and liaise with nursing and consultant teams to make best use of clinic space and ensure patients are seen in a timely manner. Type clinical letters to support RTT pathway clock stop. To answer the phones and greet patients as they enter the unit, ensuring attention to detail when taking personal details and checking these against the system.
