Job Overview
UK Military Flying Training System (Rotary Wing) Airworthiness Engineer - Fixed Term Contract, Shawbury. Reports to UK MFTS (RW) Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager (Shawbury).
The Airworthiness Engineer provides Part CAMO Airworthiness Support within the CAMO Department. Responsibilities include:
* Review and update Aircraft Maintenance Programmes against fleet maintenance data.
* Implement and validate changes to Maintenance Programmes in MIS, ensuring compliance.
* Monitor applicability requirements from airworthiness data reviews.
* Review technical information from authorities and OEMs, including ADs and SBs.
* Hold a Form 4 (ARC Signatory) with UK CAA.
* Support presentations for MFTS CAMR.
* Generate compliance reports for audits and reviews.
* Analyze and report repetitive defects.
* Perform other airworthiness activities as directed.
Desired Knowledge and Skills
Essential:
* Thorough knowledge of EASA Part CAMO and Part 145 regulations.
* Experience with SAP and ERP software.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Airbus H135/H145.
* Understanding of EASA Part 21 Subparts G and J, AMC material.
Education and Qualifications
Essential:
* Formal EASA Part 145 and Part CAMO training.
* Human factors initial training.
Desirable:
* HND in aviation-related discipline.
Experience
Essential:
* At least 3 years in an airworthiness role related to EASA Part CAMO.
Desirable:
* Experience as an aircraft engineer (EASA Part 66 license preferred) or 5+ years in continued airworthiness management.
* Military aviation experience.
Additional Requirements
* Initial training in Oxford, with subsequent travel.
* Must obtain DBS and SC security clearance.
* Compliance with export regulations.
