Overview
MCL has an immediate vacancy for three Senior Flow Assurance Engineers on various projects for our oil and gas client.
Duration: Initial 12 months
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
The role will be based on 5 days a week in the client's offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.
Rate: Ltd Company rate circa £65.00 per hour
The role is likely outside IR35, pending a Qdos assessment.

Job Description
You will work as part of small project teams developing concept and early project definition in the Oil and Gas sector. As a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
* Act as a flow assurance engineer on upstream projects, conducting Flow Assurance studies using software packages such as OLGA, PIPESIM.
* Develop pipeline simulation models, perform simulations, and assess results.
* Perform design calculations and prepare technical reports in line with quality standards.
* Report to flow assurance SME.
* Contribute to strategies, philosophies, and procedures.
* Demonstrate excellent report writing and presentation skills.

Software and Experience Requirements
* Experience in steady state and transient hydraulic analyses of pipelines using industry-standard software such as OLGA, PIPESIM, PIPENET.
* Minimum 10 years of hands-on flow assurance modeling experience with OLGA.
* Experience assessing flow assurance issues and providing mitigation solutions.
* Ability to work collaboratively in multi-discipline project teams.
* Experience in pipeline sizing, thermo-hydraulics, transient analysis, surge pressure studies.
* Knowledge of flow assurance issues like slugging, hydrates, wax, erosion, corrosion, and mitigation methods.
* Understanding of thermodynamics, with Multiflash experience preferred.
* Knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards.
* Excellent computer, oral, and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Experience with process modeling in HYSYS and front-end studies is advantageous.
* Proven planning and study execution skills.
* Client presentation experience.
* Operational experience is a plus but not essential.
