What you’ll be doing
Monitor and maintain the company's IT security infrastructure using Microsoft Defender and other security tools.
Respond to and investigate security alerts, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing evidence of controls and contributing to audit readiness activities.
Collaborate with the compliance and risk teams to ensure IT operations meet regulatory obligations.
Support vulnerability management efforts, including patching and system hardening.
Assist in maintaining secure and efficient identity and access management practices, including integration with M365 and Azure AD.
Contribute to incident response planning and participate in post-incident reviews.
Continuously improve IT security posture by identifying gaps and implementing effective solutions in line with best practices and regulatory guidance.
Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment ensuring compliance with corporate security and configuration standards
What you’ll bring to Suits Me
Proven previous experience in an IT Operations and/or Security Engineer role, ideally within a fintech or regulated financial services environment.
Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Defender and other security products.
Strong understanding of security best practices across MacOS and Windows platforms.
Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, or FCA regulations.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to respond quickly to technical issues.
Good documentation skills and an ability to work with non-technical stakeholders to explain security concepts.
Knowledge of endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SimpleMDM).
Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
