Job Title: Team Leader - Children’s Residential Home

Salary: £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for an experienced Team Leader to join a Children’s Residential Home in Leyland. This is a permanent, full-time position ideal for a candidate with a strong background in residential childcare who is ready to step into a leadership role.
The Role:
As Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager with the daily operations of the home. You’ll lead and supervise a team of support staff, ensuring the provision of high-quality, child-centred care for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead shifts and manage staff deployment
* Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members
* Foster a nurturing, safe, and structured environment
* Contribute to care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
* Act as a role model for both staff and young people
* Ensure all practice complies with Ofsted standards and safeguarding protocols
* Support the development and wellbeing of both staff and residents
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence – Essential
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting - Essential
* Supervisory or team leading experience – Essential
* Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Essential
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and child protection
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
