Supporting a Drug and Alcohol service in Gloucestershire. They have a requirement for a Registered Mental Health Nurse. You must deliver high standards of nursing care for the treatment and support of substance dependency. You should also be able to provide high-quality clinical assessments and treatment to substance-dependent clients in a residential setting, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key roles and responsibilities for a Registered Mental Health Nurse
1. Support drug and alcohol users with complex needs as part of a 12-step programme.
2. Liaise with other professionals and members of the wider multidisciplinary treatment team.
3. Provide interventions.
4. Promote the health and well-being of clients and maintain a safe, caring therapeutic environment.
5. Undertake initial health assessments on admission, including mental health and substance misuse history.
Minimum requirements for a Registered Mental Health Nurse
1. Nurse qualification – RMN with UK registration.
2. Ability to work with the 12-Step Programme (Recovery Model).
3. Awareness of health issues relating to Substance Misuse.
4. Experience of key working and care planning.
