Salary: £31,573 actual – £36,590 FTE, 39 weeks per year (terms time plus training days)

A great opportunity has become available at the academy to lead on the Careers provision in school. This is a non-teaching role in which you will focus on ensuring the academy provides a highly aspirational Careers programme from Year 7 through to 13. You will ensure that the school is meeting all Gatsby benchmarks and is compliant with the Baker Clause. In order to support, you will have an assistant for four days a week. The academy is looking for a personable, driven and highly ambitious individual to continue to ensure this is an area of excellence within the school. The programme aligns to our character programme and aspiration of students going on to the best jobs, universities, apprenticeships and colleges.
Responsibilities
Lead on the Careers provision in school to deliver a highly aspirational Careers programme from Year 7 through to 13. Ensure Gatsby benchmarks are met and Baker Clause compliance is maintained. Work with an assistant for four days a week to support delivery within the academy. Align the programme with the school’s character programme and the aspiration of students progressing to top universities, apprenticeships and colleges.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience of working in an education setting (preferred)
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role
* Educated to at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Holding or working towards a NVQ L6 Diploma in Advice and Guidance
* Excellent communicator, able to build positive professional relationships with adults and students
* Commitment to service quality and continuous improvement
