Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an industrial gases business who deal with a range of industries and processes, including healthcare, and manufacturing sectors. They are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer in the South Yorkshire region.
The Mechanical Project Engineer will be required to:
1. Provide mechanical engineering assistance to operations, including supporting the Engineering Management of Change process and overseeing equipment repairs and replacements
2. Take responsibility for the mechanical engineering deliverables on large multi-discipline projects, or managing the delivery of smaller single discipline projects
3. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, while ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and meets all relevant internal and external standards and legislation
4. Provide technical authority guidance and support and take ownership of a number of internal standards
5. Undertake internal audits and support incident investigations
6. Contribute to and deliver continuous improvement objectives
7. Support the development of less experienced engineers within the business.

10. PC literate: (MS Office suite; SAP, CAD, SharePoint, Microsoft PPM)

13. Ability to support senior engineers and managers in the project delivery tasks
14. Knowledge of engineering practices/ contracting/ Project Management/ Industry standards
15. Project management principles life cycle
16. Financial awareness and reporting metrics
17. Basic risk management
18. Health and Safety Legislation including: Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR)Construction Design & Management Regulations (CDM)
Required qualification/ Experience:
19. Qualified to degree level or above in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline (Essential)
20. Background Industrial / Medical Gases or Chemical Industry
21. Experience of specifying pressure equipment/systems e.g. piping, valves, vessels, etc.
22. Knowledge in project engineering in either contracting or operating company environments, proposals, tendering, sub-contract activity, financial/cost management
23. Professional membership to IMechE, APM, IET or equal and working towards Chartership
