The team…
The Transformation Operations team is responsible for ITV’s ongoing transformation, on behalf of the Management Board. We work with teams from all across ITV, driving the delivery of programmes and making sure we’re prioritising the people side too.
The role…
We are looking for two experienced Communications Specialists to deliver effective communications for two of our priority transformation programmes:
* Rights and Content Sales (RACS) - this programme aims to transform the way ITV systemises and exploits rights (the IP which is fundamental to the business) and how we manage and fulfil our financial obligations
* Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) - this programme aims to transform the way ITV manages its contracting process, including contract drafting, workflow tracking, contract signature and storage
Depending on your skills and experience, you will be assigned to one of the programmes.
The Communications Specialist is responsible for delivering effective communications for the transformation programme. The role will own the communications plan for all impacted groups, including senior stakeholders and different teams of end users. They will lead the development of communications content using a range of suitable formats and in line with ITV’s brand and tone.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities may include:
* Developing a communications approach based on the programme’s Change Strategy and delivery plan, and ITV’s ways of working
* Creating and maintaining a strong relationship with ITV’s Internal Communications team to identify and utilise relevant communications channels
* Using a Change Impact Assessment to develop a tailored and relevant Communications PlanDeveloping effective communications materials using a variety of formats
* Equipping the Programme Sponsors, senior stakeholders and Change Network with relevant and updated content as they engage with others
* Managing the storage of communications content
* Measuring the effectiveness of communications, capturing feedback, identifying required updates and iterating content and plans
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)...
* Previous experience in a Communications Specialist role, leading the development and delivery of content
* Demonstrable experience of owning communications activity on a transformation programme
* Proven experience of managing a communications plan to time
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)...
* A solid understanding of communications principles, methodology and tools
* Experience of developing content in a variety of formats using different communication tools (including Google Suite)
* Experience of working with innovative tools and being creative with the way technical content is presented
* Experience of working closely with and influencing senior stakeholders and programme sponsors
* A proven ability to engage teams at all levels
* High attention to detail
* Experience in the media industry and with rights / contracts / Legal teams is desirable but not essential
