We are seeking a skilled Plumber with experience in the public sector, ideally having worked with adaptations or for a local authority or housing association. This role requires a professional who can deliver high-quality craftsmanship and a customer-oriented service to both internal and external clients.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Carry out all aspects of plumbing work including maintenance, repairs, and construction projects across Council dwellings, schools, and public buildings.
* Install and maintain central heating systems, solid fuel boilers, sanitary fixtures, and water services.
* Work collaboratively with other trades, tenants, and management to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Maintain optimal stock levels in the vehicle to ensure service efficiency.
* Submit all required worksheets and documents within set timescales.
* Occasionally perform Driver/Labourer duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing is essential.
* Full UK driving licence and an up-to-date CSCS card are mandatory.
* Experience in the public sector, particularly with adaptations or within a local authority or housing association.
* Ability to work independently, organise workload effectively, or work within a team to identify and communicate health and safety improvements.
* Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if not already obtained.
* Proficiency in basic IT skills and the use of mobile and digital technology for work management.
