Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Receptionist/Administrator to provide clerical support to the various services located in the Widnes Health Care Resource Centre. This centre is open 365 days a year and staff work on a rota to cover shifts from 7.45am – 9.15pm. The successful candidate will work at the main reception desk, where patients arrive for their appointments in all departments within the Widnes HCRC building.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage patient arrivals on the booking system
* Book, amend, and schedule follow‑up appointments for Bridgewater services including UTC, Podiatry, and treatment rooms
* Signpost patients to external services running clinics within the building
* Answer emails and deal with daily tasks and queries
* Provide face‑to‑face and telephone liaison with patients and clinicians
* Perform general reception duties in a busy, fast‑paced environment
* Undertake training for the fire warden role
Qualifications & Experience
* At least 12 months of customer/administration‑focused experience
* Proven clerical experience and/or administrative knowledge
* 4 GCSE passes at Grade C or above (including Maths and English) or equivalent qualifications
* ECDL or equivalent computer package experience
Development
The successful applicant would be expected to undertake or already have development to NVQ Level 3 standard.
