Security Officer – Stanford‑le‑Hope

Grade: 3.1 Site Based
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Hours: 42 hours per week (4 on, 4 off, nights only)
Location: Stanford‑le‑Hope
About the Role
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. Your presence will make others feel safe, welcome, and supported.
Responsibilities
* Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site; monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
* Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
* Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
Qualifications
* A valid SIA licence
* Full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to work nights
* Ability to work on your feet for long durations and work independently
* The right to work in the UK, with a 5‑year checkable history
* Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
