Our client is a well-established and highly regarded specialist engineering business operating within the renewable energy and waste management sectors. With decades of experience, they deliver complex technical projects from initial design through to commissioning and handover, serving a range of industrial and utility clients across the UK.
The Role
An experienced Project Manager is required to join an established design and delivery team. You'll take cradle-to-grave ownership of plant expansions, upgrades, and new build schemes - from initial proposals and budget setting through to commissioning, handover, and closedown.
Key Responsibilities
* Full lifecycle project management across design, procurement, installation, and commissioning
* Resource planning, budget control, and programme monitoring with regular reporting to directors and clients
* Identification and engagement of equipment suppliers and M&E contractors
* Management of commercial and contractual elements, including notices and applications in line with contract conditions
* Ensuring technical scopes are sufficiently developed to produce accurate costs and robust designs
* Coordinating constructability reviews with the Construction Coordinator
* Managing project risk, 3rd party interfaces, and H&S compliance throughout
Technical Knowledge Required
* Mechanical & process systems, P&IDs, pipework and valves
* Pumping plant, compressed air, and material handling systems
* Lifting systems and access platforms
* Process control understanding
* Commissioning experience
* General electrical awareness
Qualifications
Essential: BTEC National / ONC / 5x GCSEs and A Levels / HNC or HND
Desirable: First Degree (BA / BEng)
