We have an opportunity for 2 Family Workers to join the Domestic Abuse Hub on a 9-month fixed term contract.
About The Role
The role of Domestic Abuse Family Worker involves providing a pro-active service to all victim survivors of domestic abuse and their children. The role including assessing risk and delivering an individualised service which aims to address the safety needs of victim survivors and any children and/or dependents. The Family Worker supports their recovery and to achieve long term safety and reduce repeat victimisation.
About The Candidate
The Family Worker will specifically advocate on behalf of the victim / survivor, ensuring that they remain at the centre of all that we do, providing advice and support, both emotional and practical. You will also liaise with multiple agencies ensuring their risk is central to support safety planning, therefore the ability to build effective working relationships and have experience of working with partner agencies in developing multi-agency plans which support victims.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with victims experiencing, or who have experienced domestic abuse, supporting them to keep themselves safe, understand their rights and options and support them through the Criminal Justice process.
The role is varied and fast paced, so you will need to have the skills to manage these challenges appropriately; you will receive regular case supervision & welfare-based conversations to ensure that your emotional wellbeing & resilience is prioritised.
