Manitowoc, international leader in providing premium lifting equipment with Potain and Grove brands, is looking for a Finance Controller to be based in our UK facility in Buckingham.
Main Responsibilities in the Role
* Legal aspects
o Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated from the top down in the company and that they are always followed.
* Fiscal aspects
o Responsible for all demands from fiscal authorities and ensuring that all official documents are correctly completed and submitted on time, including annual Corporation Tax returns.
* Accounting
o Manage the UK entity accounting function, supervise the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, to achieve MCG UK financial goals.
* Reporting
o Ensure all reporting both internally and externally is performed in a timely and accurate manner and fulfils all MEC requirements.
* Treasury
o Manage the day-to-day running and administration of the company\'s UK bank accounts.
o Prepare forecasts for local management and the internal Treasury department as required.
o Administer the funds of the organisation according to the approved budget and monitor the monthly cash flow of the entity.
* Auditing
o Liaison with authorised audit parties both internal and external.
o Coordinate and provide information as required.
o Manage processes to provide information in a timely basis.
o Prepare Statutory Accounts for at least 2 UK-based companies.
* General Management
o Actively participate in site controlling activities.
o Maintain budgets for the managed entity as well as the individual projects.
o Support UK-based HR functions related to the UK site.
To Be Successful in this Role
* High degree of knowledge of Accounting Principles and Statutory/Tax regulations (UK GAAP and US GAAP).
* Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley requirements is a plus.
* Computer literacy – Excel (advanced); ERP systems (extensive experience); SAP experience preferred.
* Fluent in English; additional European language capability (French or German) is an advantage.
