An exciting opportunity has become available within our Operating Theatres supply team in the role of Supplies Coordinator.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic team players to join our team to ensure the availability of equipment to support our 33 Operating theatres across Swansea Bay University hospitals.
Knowledge of stock control is essential and experience of automated stock control systems would be desirable.
You would be working across our three sites and with multi disciplinary teams to support our theatre teams provide Operations for our Patients.
Main duties of the job
1. Organises the delivery of purchases.
2. To assist with organising meetings with supplier representatives as required.
3. Check and accurately complete all procurement documentation.
4. Resolve stock issues, including stock deficiency, damaged goods and unclear orders using own initiative.
5. To follow up outstanding Omnicell orders via system report.
6. To raise & receipt Omnicell non catalogue orders as required.
7. To assign & unassign items into the Omnicell system as required.
8. To book out expired stock from the Omnicell system.
9. To perform scheduled Omnicell cycle counts as required by the department/Health Board and any other cycle counts as needed.
10. Prioritise orders and deliveries as per departmental needs.
11. Initiate emergency order when required.
12. To maintain filing system for all loan equipment requests.
13. To set up storage of consumables fully organise and maintain a tidy and presentable store room, providing easy access for others
14. To comply with manual handling policies when transporting and positioning heavy equipment and consumables frequently throughout shifts.
15. To ensure correct care and economical use of equipment and nhs property.

2. Educated to Vocational Level 3 or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience.
3. Experience working within a stores environment Experience of ordering goods via the Oracle system
4. Knowledge of Inventory Management processes. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team. Ability to use own initiative. Ability to move inanimate loads. Able to cope with a busy workload. Good literacy and numeracy skills. Excellent keyboard skills.
