Job overview Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is seeking an Associate Dean for Quality Management (Liaison) to support and coordinate quality management activity across postgraduate medical education and training in Wales. This role plays an important part in ensuring training programmes meet regulatory standards and continue to improve through effective collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and strong working relationships. You will work closely with colleagues across HEIW, Foundation and Specialty Schools, Heads of School, training programme leads and Faculty teams to support a consistent and joined-up approach to quality management. The postholder will contribute to the delivery of HEIW’s Quality Management System, participate in quality monitoring and review activity, and support the use of data, intelligence and digital tools to identify risk and inform improvement. The role also involves representing HEIW at national and regional meetings as required. We are looking for a medically qualified professional with full GMC registration and experience of postgraduate medical education or training. You will have a good understanding of quality management and regulatory frameworks, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across organisational and professional boundaries.
