The GPS team at GSK Barnard Castle is growing, offering an exciting opportunity to drive and influence continuous improvement across the organisation. We’re looking for a Continuous Improvement (GPS) Practitioner to help embed the Global Production System and deliver enhancements in quality, safety, service, cost, and innovation. In this role, reporting to the Site GPS Lead within Global Supply Chain, you’ll play a key part in day-to-day GPS deployment, coach site leaders and operators, and accelerate capability development across the site.
In this role you will…
* Support day-to-day deployment of the GPS and performance improvement activities at site. Deliver according to the GPS implementation approach / road map (agreed with the Site Director, Regional GPS lead and Site GPS lead).
* Support continuous capability development of self and others, developed by the GPS Core team.
* Actively role modelling GPS skills and behaviours.
* Support/ensure consistency of progress and deployment.
* Coach Site team leaders and operators to develop sustain continuous improvement mindsets and behaviours.
* Provide expert advice on the GPS basics to the Site based on a in depth understanding of GPS.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
* Formal Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt or higher)
* Proven track record delivering improvement initiatives in Manufacturing / Engineering / Quality / Supply Chain or similar operational environments
* Demonstrable capability coaching teams and embedding continuous‑improvement behaviours
* Ability to translate GPS (or equivalent CI) principles into day‑to‑day practice on site
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Degree in a technical, science or engineering subject (or equivalent experience)
* Experience from highly regulated sectors or complex manufacturing environments
* Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or other high‑precision/manufacturing sectors
