Teaching Assistants - Penzance
Location: Penzance and surrounding areasPay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)Start date: As soon as possibleContract: Flexible - day-to-day, long-termHours: Full-time or part-time, term-time only
We're working closely with schools in and around Penzance who are looking for Teaching Assistants to support their pupils across a range of settings. Whether you've got classroom experience or have supported young people in other environments, this could be a great opportunity if you're looking for flexible work that makes a difference.
This role suits someone who's calm, reliable, and genuinely enjoys helping children thrive. You don't need a qualification, just the right attitude and some relevant experience.
The role includes:
* Supporting pupils in lessons (1:1, small groups or whole class)
* Helping with learning tasks and keeping children engaged
* Supporting children with additional needs or challenging behaviour
* Working closely with the class teacher and wider team
* Contributing to a positive, supportive classroom environment
What we're looking for:
* Experience working with children or young people in any setting
* A patient, approachable and proactive mindset
* Someone happy to follow school routines and direction
* Confidence working across different year groups and abilities
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Two references covering the last two years
* Right to work in the UK
