An exciting opportunity has emerged within the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), as they require a locum Speciality Dentist to join its existing team based at University Hospital Monklands. This is a temporary Locum position for a period of 12 months
The post is offered on a part-time basis (8 PAs/ 32 hours per week). applications are also welcomed from candidates who may be interested in working on a part-time basis..
The successful candidate will be expected to have undertaken four years full time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis). This should include broad experience treating general OMFS conditions at Speciality Dentistlevel in an OMFS Unit.
Proposals for additional SPA time from applicants are encouraged. In addition to the 1 PA for Non-DCC/SPA activities, the Board is supportive of applications for additional SPA time from individuals with well-developed ideas for improving services who are able to demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety (including human factors training), Medical Education, Research & Development, acting as an Appraiser, etc. Applicants who are able to demonstrate a commitment to any of the above or other areas and wishing to commence on more than 1 PA for SPA duties should discuss proposals with the identified Recruitment Lead and/or Service Manager (provide contacts) who will consider the request in line with the successful candidates professional and service requirements
