Responsibilities
of the Technical Manager:
1. Manage the full architectural design process across multiple live and upcoming developments.
2. Lead on planning submissions, including detailed and reserved matters applications.
3. Coordinate with external architects, planning consultants and landscape designers to achieve design intent.
4. Ensure all working drawings and technical details meet company standards, Building Regulations and NHBC requirements.
5. Review and approve third-party drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
6. Maintain strong relationships with local planning authorities to secure timely approvals.
7. Provide ongoing design and technical support to site teams throughout the build programme.
8. Mentor and develop Technical Coordinators, ensuring smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
9. Experience as a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Coordinator within residential housebuilding.
10. Strong architectural background, ideally degree-qualified or with equivalent industry experience.
11. Proven ability to manage multiple developments from pre-planning through to completion.
12. Excellent understanding of planning procedures, Building Regulations, and NHBC standards.
13. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
