The Role
We’re seeking a forward-thinking and experienced risk and control professional to join us as Head of Frameworks, Governance, and Reporting. This is a management role within the First Line of Defence (1LoD) Chief Controls Office (CCO), responsible for managing and evolving our governance and reporting routines. You’ll deliver high-quality reporting and insights to senior leadership, executive committees, and regulatory stakeholders.
We’re looking for a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of non-financial risk, and a proven track record in producing board-level reporting. You’ll lead a high-performing team and ensure the integrity and quality of risk data, reporting, and frameworks across the bank.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Lead the production of impactful reporting to senior forums and governance committees, ensuring clear articulation of control performance, trends, and key themes across business areas.
* Monitor top and emerging risks in partnership with business stakeholders and ensure timely escalation and resolution through practical governance mechanisms.
* Oversee the issue and action management process, ensuring clear ownership, timely closure, and meaningful remediation of issues.
* Drive data quality and consistency in the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tool, enabling accurate real-time insights and decision-making.
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
* Work closely with control owners, business and functional leads, and 2nd line partners to strengthen governance and control practices in day-to-day operations.
* Support delivery of strategic initiatives by embedding frameworks and governance models that enable agility and transparency.
Requirements
* 7+ years experience in control, governance, or reporting roles within the financial services industry.
* Strong track record of designing and delivering executive- and Board-level reporting that informs business action.
* Deep understanding of control frameworks and governance models and how they enable effective 1st line execution.
* Hands-on strong experience with GRC systems and leveraging them for insight and assurance.
* Proven leadership capability and stakeholder influence across functions and levels.
Skills and Attributes
* Strategic thinker with excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Strong report writing and data visualisation skills — able to turn complexity into clear insight.
* Commercial mindset with a proactive, delivery-focused approach.
* Collaborative and resilient, with a passion for improving how things are done.
